Pre-consultation Request Form

Complete this form to request a Pre-consultation with Planning Division Staff prior to the submission of a Planning Application to obtain preliminary review and considerations related to your proposal.

Detailed information of the proposed development, lot configuration, and/or zoning amendment requirements are required at the pre-consultation stage.

Pre-consultations are highly recommended for Zoning By-law Amendment Applications, Applications for Site Plan Approval, Minor Variance and Consent/Severance applications. A Pre-consultation can improve application processing times.

Before completing this form, please ensure that you have reviewed the zoning of the property and reviewed the relevant zoning provisions in the Township Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

Requirements

Please ensure that your request contains the following information:

• Completed request form, including description summarizing the development proposal.

• A detailed site plan including; lot lines, existing buildings and structures, proposed building and structures with measurements including height, lot area, lot frontage, natural features, landscaped areas, parking areas, setbacks, servicing, and roads. 

• Any drawings, if available (e.g. floor plan and elevations). 

• If the proposal is for a consent/severance, a detailed consent sketch is required.

• If the proposal is for a rezoning, a detailed rezoning sketch is required.
