Appeal an Order

If you wish to appeal an Order, please fill out the form below. There is a cost of $320 that will be required to be paid to the Township of Muskoka Lakes before the appeal can be processed. Once the appeal has been processed, the appellant will be notified via email of the date that the appeal will be heard which will be at the next regularly scheduled Council meeting depending on the time that the appeal has been processed. The appellant will be required to attend the Council meeting to speak to the appeal and describe the reasons for the appeal. Any documentation that you wish to present at the appeal shall be sent to bylaw@muskokalakes.ca, further instructions on deadlines to submit documentation will be described to the appellant upon receiving their appeal hearing date.

Should a representative be appealing an order on a property owner's please note that you must include the appeal authorization form (linked below). 

If a representative is appealing a by-law order, you must submit an Appeal Authorization Form.

Payment methods include cheques made out to ‘Township of Muskoka Lakes’, cash or debit accepted in office, or online banking payments (through your bank add payee as Muskoka Lakes – Township of Muskoka Lakes – Other *be careful not to add the Muskoka Lakes Tax Account. Your account number will be your Order Number with no spaces or dashes followed by the word APP e.g., OTR202401APP)
